Psychedelic electronic music

Hi, my name is PJ Wassermann and I’m a composer, performer and producer. I’ve been into electronic music for more than 40 years but I also love to sing and to play guitar.

I was born in Basel, Switzerland. This town is more than 2000 years old and best known for Albert Hofmann discovering LSD.

These days I’m living on the island of Ibiza and partly in Switzerland.

I enjoy to spend time in my electronic music studio. But often I produce on the road with just my laptop.

Live music

Playing live is one of my passions. Preferably my own amazing psychedelic multimedia show. But I also love to jam with other musicians. And I create ambient musical spaces with my looper.

You can book me to play live. Please use the contact form.

In the last couple of years I’ve concentrated on playing live my psychedelic chillout music, also called „psyChill“ or „psybient“. Most of the time with visuals by VJs like Asteriza, Trig Fardust, Nourathar and others, sometimes also with additional musicians and dancers.

More info on the LIVE page.

In Ibiza I play with The Ibango Tribe (fully improvised music)

In Switzerland I play with Spacebike (fully improvised music).

Recorded Music

My music comes from the heart. Often I play around on the guitar, and then melodies and riffs come to me that I quickly record on the phone in order not to forget them. Many of them turn into songs.

In the last couple of years I rediscovered the joy of singing and have integrated my vocals into the songs I make.

I have produced and released electronic music for over 40 years. First it was my project Schaltkreis Wassermann (experimental electronic music), later I turned to psyTrance with my Eternal Bliss project. For the last 10 years I have concentrated on psychedelic chillout music (also called psyChill or psybient) that I release under my own name.

In the last two or three years I have produced my own interpretations of some of my favourite trippy 60s pop songs. The first one has been “Tomorrow Never Knows” by the Beatles, the second one is “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane, a true psychedelic classic. The latest one has been “It’s All Too Much” by the Beatles. More to come. These last songs might be classified under Dream Pop or so, I’m not good with putting my music into genres…

I still regularly produce and release new music for my Schaltkreis Wassermann project.

And in 2023 I have started a new house and techno project together with Ibiza clubbing wizard Montse Soto, called See the Stars.

So, lots of music around to listen to. If you want to receive my newsletter then please send me your email via the contact form.
